Top Notch Building Supply is located just 1/4 mile north of Illinois Highway Rt. 20 on Pecatonica Road. We service a large area including Rockford, Belvidere, Freeport, Byron, Rockton and Lake Summerset. We work closely with homeowners to find the right product and design that they are looking for. Our sales team has great relationship built with many area contractors and we enjoy doing business with them. Whether you are inquiring information on a product or looking for a contractor to do the work, we can answer your questions and are eager to help.
As a homeowner can I buy directly from Top Notch?
Yes, of course! We sell to homeowners and contractors alike, if you need a recommendation of  local, reputable installers we can also help you with that. We work closely with contractors in the Rockford, Freeport, Byron, Belvidere, Rockton, Davis and surrounding areas.
What areas do you serve?
We serve but are not excluded to Belvidere, IL, Rockford, IL, South Beloit, IL, Rockton, IL, Roscoe, IL, Lake Summerset, IL, Freeport, IL, and Byron, IL.
What industries do you serve?
We service residential and commercial industries, doing both new construction and remodels. 
Where are you located?
Top Notch is located in Pecatonica, IL, which is about 10 miles west of Rockford, IL and 15 miles east of Freeport, IL. We are located 1/4 mile North of Illinois Highway Rt. 20 on Pecatonica Road. 
 
Do you deliver?

Yes we do to the Northern Illinois area. Our normal delivery area covers the counties of Winnebago, Stephenson, Ogle, Boone, Carroll, McHenry, Jo Davies, Dekalb and Lee. We have the ability to deliver beyond in Illinois also. There is a nominal charge for delivery based on the distance from our location and the urgency of the delivery.

What are your hours?

We are open weekdays from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Our Saturday hours are 7:00 AM to noon on Saturday. These hours are selected so that we can best serve those contractors and trades people that are doing your building and remodeling work.

Can you recommend a contractor?

Yes we have a number of contractor and remodeler customers in the Rockford, IL and surrounding areas that do great work. We generally recommend them based on their specialties and the geographic area you live in. Please call during our regular store hours to inquire or click here to leave a message we'll get back to you the next business day.

How much will my project cost?

Our experienced staff estimates lumber and building materials for projects every day. We often estimate complete projects or cooperate with our contractor and remodeler customers.

Why does your lumber look so good?

Like with most other merchandise with lumber you get what you pay for. We still buy our material based on the desire to produce high quality projects and the contractors and remodelers who buy from us do so because they want to produce high quality projects as well. Most are either hands on or entered the building business through the carpentry trade. They have experienced the difference and because of their background and are in general fussy about what they use on your project. Whether it is lumber from the best mills in North America or the name brand building materials people trust, we at Top Notch seek the best when we buy material for your building projects.

Do you estimate?

Our experienced staff collectively has over 100 years experience in the lumber, building material and building or remodeling business. We are able to estimate jobs all the way from a door replacement or deck to the most complicated custom homes.

Do you finance?

We have a number of financing options available based on the size of your building or remodeling project. We also work closely with banks and finance companies to get the financing that best fits your project and budget.

Do you have kitchen design abilities?

We can design your kitchen or bath project to fit your needs. We use 20/20 to create drawings of your kitchen or bath from several point of view.
